And thanks for the basil that--in part--made it possible. It was sublime, if I say so myself. In fact, we did it again a couple of evenings later with linguine.

Those beans look incredible. I can see myself cooking them way past the point of being &lt;em&gt;al dente,&lt;/em&gt; and serving them with tomato sauce. My grandmother used to serve green beans with tomato sauce from time to time.

But your version of pesto sounds delicious as well.
